NDT Services

This is one of the most important inspection to identify healthiness of the components to assure safety, reliability through the detection of discontinuities.

We undertake conventional NDT techniques of VT, PT, MPT, and UT

DYE PENETRANT TEST (PT)

Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) is one of the most widely used non-destructive testing methods. LPT is based on capillary attraction, where a liquid is able to flow into narrow spaces without the assistance of external forces such as gravity. The materials processes and procedures used in liquid penetrant testing are designed to make the results of this capillary action visible and capable of interpretation. LPT is an effective means of locating and determining the severity of surface discontinuities in materials, including those that are not visible to the naked eye.

Uses: To identify the surface discontinuities in serviced components

MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING (MPT)

Magnetic particle inspection can be performed using a wet or dry method, depending on the application. In both methods, the product is electrically charged to create a magnetic field. Then, ferrous iron particles are applied to the part in a dry or wet suspension.

If there is a crack or another defect present, the particles will be attracted to the flaw and build up around the leakage to form an “indication.” The indication is then evaluated to determine the characteristics and cause of the defect. The results allow our experts to understand the type and severity of any discontinuities on the part’s surface or sub-surface.

Uses: To identify sub surface indication in serviced components

ULTRASONIC TESTING (UT)

Ultrasonic Testing (UT) uses high-frequency sound energy to perform examinations and take measurements. UT can inspect for thickness measurements, flaw detection and more.

Uses: To identify the subsurface volumetric indication in serviced components (Rotor, Casings, HP& IP Bolts, etc.)
